Young Folk at the Hall 2004 : Comments

This is the second year that my daughter, Georgina, has participated in your workshops/concert. She is beginning her journey to Newfoundland Music! Having grown up in an instrumental (accoridan) family, I see the enjoyment / satisafaction that can be obtained through the lyrics and beat participating in Newfoundland Music.

Through my eyes, on Sunday, I watched some very talented musicians joining in and having fun. So nice to see and hear.

One suggestion that may help for next years event (can't wait) is to watch for children getting "drowned out" when using their voice. I feel this is important for young children's self esteem and we will be successful in keeping the Newfoundland Tradition alive.

The hard work and dedication shone through again this year by everyone involved! Thank you.

Proud to be a Newfoundlander,

The Young Folks at the Hall was a great experience for my children. It renewed their interest in their music and was an new and exciting experience for them. It gave them an opportunity to meet other children interested in music. The facilitators gave freely of their time and were very interested in helping the children do their best. Thank you! The concert was very well put together. It's amazing what they could achieve with just six hours of practice. For my children, as I'm sure for many others, it gave them a chance to showcase their talent, something they would otherwise not had the opportunity to do. Overall it was a fantastic and totally positive experience and leaves with them lifelong memories.
