"A PERCUSSION WORKSHOP with BILL BRENNAN "

In our ongoing series of day-long workshops promoting the traditional performing arts of Newfoundland and Labrador, we're happy to have Bill Brennan facilitate this great workshop! Award winning percussionist/pianist Bill Brennan has been active on the music scene for the last 20 years, performing with the National Ballet and the Canadian Opera Company and backing up such greats as Cab Calloway, Dizzy Gillespie and Placido Domingo. Bill has performed on over 50 CD's and has toured extensively and continues to tour with marimbist Mika Yoshida and dancer Sarah Chase. He currently co-leads a band called Chesterfield Inlet, plays in Vuja De and plays regularly many other musicians. We are glad to have an opportunity to share with you his wide knowledge at what is going to be an interesting and fun workshop.

There is no age limit on St. John's Folk Arts Council Workshops, but all participants must supply their own (related!) instrument.. bring a bohran, bones whatever makes a joyous noise (perhaps even, gasp! - spoons!).
