FOLK NIGHT AT THE SHIP!
On March 17th at 9:30 pm we present:
Boo Darby
Just $5.00 and you're in for a grand time.
Door prizes provided by the Folk Arts Society, Aliant and Grant Thorton LLP.
BOO DARBY – Jean Hewson, Christina Smith and Rick West (MAHERS BAHERS) have been playing together with Dave Penny (DAVE PENNY) for over a decade at seances and sessions and more recently at Folk Night, the Eastport Accordion Festival and on Dave's CD, Stories and Strangers. Their repertoire mainly features “yaffles”of traditional Newfoundland dance tunes preceded by “laffles” of insane banter, songs about short-legged dogs and spanworms, and anything else that gets your toes tapping and funny bone tickled.
