The Folk Arts Society relies on individual donations, memberships and grants to sustain its operations each year. Your donation will help to present the annual Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival as well as ongoing events such as Folk Night at the Ship and Young Folk at the Hall. Donations over $20 will be issued a tax receipt.

Membership

Are you one of our many supporters who is not a Member of the Folk Arts Society? Do you kindly volunteer at our many events, but have never actually joined the Society? We are asking you to please consider joining us. Membership is vitally important if the FAS is to remain a vibrant and relevant community-led organization. As you know, the Board of Directors are all volunteers and we cannot run the FAS without your help. We have an important year ahead of us, building on the success of this year's Folk Festival, and as a result of our new status as a Charity. We particularly want to move forward with expanding our existing programs and setting up some new community partnerships and programs. We cannot do anything without the help and support of the community.

Currently, membership entitles you to attend every 5th Folk Night at The Ship free of charge and includes a deal on weekend passes to the NL Folk Festival. Also, in the weeks following the AGM, there are plans by the Board to discuss how best to expand our membership benefits and we are constantly striving to better serve the membership. The Folk Arts Society needs YOU! Please consider joining us for the exciting years ahead. Thank you for your continued support.
