DANCE STAGE
Come dance with us Saturday and Sunday mornings at the festival.
We have a great line- up of workshops with instructors and musicians who will lead you through the basics of dances from countries where many of us trace our origins (Ireland, England and Scotland) as well as our roots on the Island of Newfoundland and the big land of Labrador.
Saturday, August 9th
10 a.m. Newfoundland Set Dancing
Jane Rutherford, instructor, accompanied by Daniel Payne on accordion
11 a.m. Scottish Country Dancing
Penny Gillies and Bill Scott, instructors, accompanied by Stewart Gillies (violin), Phil Graham (accordion) and Tara Bryan (guitar)
12 noon Irish Set Dancing
Jerry O'Reilly, instructor, visiting from Dublin, Ireland. Musical accompaniment to be confirmed.
Sunday, August 10th
10 a.m. English Country Dancing
Andrew Draskoy, instructor, accompanied by Evelyn Osbourne (violin),

11 a.m. Traditional Inuit Drumming and Dancing from Labrador
Instruction and music by members of the Traditional Inuit Drum and Dance Group of St. John's including Stan Nochasak, Natalie Fost, Solomon Semigak, Tabitha Blake, Sherry Blake and Nicky Zarpa.
12 noon. English Morris Dancing
Jerry Epstein will be your instructor and also accompany the workshop on English concertina.
