Maggie Meyer
Maggie (vocals, guitar, mandolin) has been on stage since she was 7, often with her sisters, Sara and Jessie, and father, Dave Panting. She has appeared at folk nights, numerous downtown venues, Atlantic Fest and at past festivals on the Neil Murray and Main Stages. She has strong songwriting skills and an exceptionally beautiful voice that should not be missed.

Matthew Morry
Matthew (12) plays a variety of instruments including the guitar, tin whistle and saxaphone, but his favourite is the accordion. He is active in drama, sports, public speaking and enjoys a wide variety of music, particularly singing and playing Newfoundland and Irish music. Matthew has performed at this festival, the Eastport Accordion Festival, Young Folk at the Hall, vaarious school functions, some of the best kitchen parties in Kilbride and has even appeared on the TV show, Out of the Fog. |

Ellen Power
Ellen Power is 13 years old. Her father, Pius Power Jr., and her grandfather, Pius Power Sr., were well-known traditional singers from Placentia Bay. She has performed at the Burin folk festival and is a regular participant of this festival as well as the Young Folk at the Hall concert and local song circles. Ellen says,"My favourite songs are songs that tell a story. I like singing traditional songs better than pop songs because pop songs have repeating words and you need them to sing with music. I like singing without music. I hope that someday I will pass on my songs to my children and grandchildren." |

Mark Browne
Mark Browne (14) of Marystown plays piano, guitar, violin, tin whistle and sings. He has participated in Kiwanis Music Festival in Clarenville, school talent and idol contests and sung locally at Valentine's and Paddy's Day Concerts as well as at the Burin Folk Festival. He recently played with Arthur O'Brien and Fred Jorgenson of THE NAVIGATORS at a concert in Lawn, at the tip of the Burin Peninsula. |

Jenna Kelly
Jenna (13) is a resident of Spanish Room on the Burin Peninsula. She enjoys playing guitar, piano, fiddle, tin whistle and harp and loves to sing a variety of music. Her performances have included those at local and provincial folk festivals, theatre festivals and Miss Teen Pageant and sporting events. She enjoys participating in the Kiwanas Festival and Royal Conservatory of Music. Jenna was interviewed on a CBCLand and Sea show, Salt Water Music, and talked about her love of traditional Newfoundland music. |

The Petty Rogues
THE PETTY ROGUES are a traditional Newfoundland group consisting of four members: Matthew Whelan (guitar and mandolin), Peter Mills (guitar, vocals and bodhran)), Jordan Chafe (fiddle) and Danny Mills (whistle, bouzouki, guitar and Irish flute). Danny and Peter met Jordan at the Young Folk at the Hall workshops and Matthew at school, found a common interest in playing and formed THE PETTY ROGUES in late 2006. They have since performed on Out of the Fog. |

EvenTide
EVENTIDE is group of four young musicians from the Burin Peninsula. Michael Rennie, Ryan Baker, and the brother/sister duo of Darrell and
Vanessa Jackman enjoy playing a variety of instruments including button accordion, guitar,
fiddle, bodrhan, mandolin, tin whistle, bass guitar, harmonica and banjo, as
well as singing. EVENTIDE recently released their debut album, Off
the Rocks, and have performed at festivals and functions throughout the Burin
Peninsula and the province including Fogo Island, Eastport, Clarenville,
