SPONSORS

We could not present this festival without the generous support of our public and corporate sponsors.  Our heartfelt thanks goes out to the following.

Public Funding:

The City of St. John's helps in two ways. The department of Arts and Cultural Development oversees programmes through which we receive operating funds from the City. They allow us to use Bannerman Park and the city staff help make the way smooth.

The Newfoundland & Labrador Arts Council supported by the province of Newfoundland & Labrador, provides sustaining funds to support the expense of having a year round organization.

Department of Canadian Heritage. The Government of Canada contributes through the CANADIAN HERITAGE / ARTS PRESENTATION CANADA, recognizing the part our Festival plays in celebrating the diverse cultures of Canada. ARC/CH provides us with operating funds.

Corporate Sponsors:

GOLD LEVEL

Newcap Radio & VOCM is a big supporter of the festival and the St. John’s Folk Arts Council in general. They help get the word out to listeners about all our activities across the province and out on the internet.

Molson Canada supports us at the festival and all year long, with donations of beer, merchandise and operating funds.

Exxon Mobil helps the festival with a generous donation toward the expense of putting together this festival.

CBC is a new sponsor, although individually, the folks there have always been there to help us promote our events.

Provincial Airlines provides us with flights so that we can bring in people from the farther reaches of our province.

SILVER LEVEL

Browning Harvey is the local bottler of soft drinks (including PEPSI), juice and water. They supply us with these products during the festival and contribute to our operating fund.

Central Dairies is a local dairy company and has supported us financially for many years.

O'Brien's Music Store is a long time supporter of the SJFAC and traditional musicians from everywhere.

Living Planet prints those funky festival t-shirts you’ll see around the park and this year, they are the sponsor for the 2006 Whistle & Flute Calendar.

Breakwater Books is another long time supporter. Not only do they supply the books for the festival draw, they provide us with door prizes each and every Wednesday at Folk Night.

The Express Newspaper is a local weekly paper that helps us with advertising.

Templeton's is the hardware store downtown. They generously donate the supplies that allow us to make the park into a festival site.
