FAS Members' Forum Meeting Rescheduled for Saturday, February 4th

The meeting of the Folk Arts Society Members' Forum which was cancelled last weekend due to bad weather will now take place at the MMAP Gallery, 2nd floor of the Arts and Culture Centre, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 4th.  Chaired by Jean Hewson, the Members' Forum invites members of the FAS, and anyone who takes part in FAS activites, to come and participate in an active discussion focussing on FAS events and issues.  This is your opportunity to give feedback, offer suggestions, and meet the people who are actively involved in producing the Folk Arts Society's events.

One of the items up for discussion is the proposed changes to the FAS bylaws.

If you would like to add an item to the agenda or discuss an issue in advance of this meeting, please contact Jean Hewson   jhewson@nf.sympatico.ca    722-2863

Suzanne Woolridge

The Folk Arts Society sends sincere condolences to the family and many friends of Suzanne Woolridge. Suzanne will be remembered with great fondness for her kindness and tireless work with CBC and as a life that contributed so much to the arts community and culture of this province.

Thanks!

The Folk Arts Society is grateful to all the young folks, mentors, musicians, hosts, volunteers, and LSPU Hall staff and crew who helped make this past weekend a great success. And, special thanks to the audience members who filled the Hall for both shows! It was an excellent weekend of music! There will be more great shows coming soon so please keep in touch!
